Electronics
Research & Service Organization (ERSO)
ERSO has been providing
technological services to Taiwan's local electronics industry
through its widespread R&D activities. The Organization
is unyielding in its commitment to function as a reliable
R&D support for the industry's technological challenges.
Opto-Electronics
& Systems Laboratories (OES)
OES emphasizes research
on key opto-electronic components, devices, and materials
technologies. It seeks to establish a complete infrastructure
for the opto-electronics industry in Taiwan and, at the same
time, help to upgrade Taiwan's traditional industries.
Computer
and Communications Research Laboratories (CCL)
CCL is committed to the
development and advancement of information, communications,
and digital video technologies. Furthermore, it intends to
be a strategic partner for the domestic industries and an
incubator for hi-tech R&D and management professionals.
Biomedical
Engineering Center (BMEC)
The Biomedical Engineering
Center (BMEC) was established in July 1999. It is a multidisciplinary
center of innovation in biomedical technologies. The Center
is characterized by its diverse technical resources in electronics,
optics, micromachining, chemistry and biomedical engineering.
It conducts market-driven applied R&D and is actively
involved in business development history, ITRIs relationship,
Incubation Center, etc.
Mechanical
Industrial Research Laboratories (MIRL)
MIRL has been working
closely with local industries to upgrade their capabilities
for global competition in automation, precision machinery,
and power machinery.
Materials
Research Laboratories (MRL)
MRL is devoted to the
development of key materials and technologies for high value
added products in order to strengthen the global competitiveness
of local industries that in turn accelerate the advancement
of the overall Taiwan economy.
Union
Chemical Laboratories (UCL)
UCL
is the largest chemical R&D laboratory in Taiwan. It is
committed to providing responsive and high quality technical
and marketing services to the chemical industry in the Asia
Pacific region.
Energy
& Resources Laboratories (ERL)
ERL focuses its research
on energy, resources, and environmental technology. ERL's
endeavors in these disciplines are transferred to industry
to save energy, rationalize resource utilization, and protect
the environment while reaching for advanced technologies.
Center
for Aviation & Space Technology (CAST)
CAST aims to assist Taiwan
in developing its aerospace industry. It has a primary responsibility
for aerospace technology development at ITRI.
Center
for Measurement Standards (CMS)
CMS
is dedicated to the development and service of instrument
calibration, to the promotion and development of precision
instruments, and to the assistance of private sectors to localize
metrology technology in order to enhance global competitiveness.
Center
for Industrial Safety & Health Technology (CISH)
CISH's missions are to develop
and disseminate safety and health technologies to prevent
and control industrial accidents, workplace injuries, and
occupational diseases.
