Dr. Chip Biotech, Inc.
DR. Chip Biotech Inc. was founded at the Incubation Center of ITRI in 1998 with the goal to develop low cost and high quality biomedical devices and instruments for fast and accurate clinical diagnosis. DR. Chip has developed several products based on biochip technologies that provide sensitive, specific, and accurate testing result. Numerous technologies and know-how have been developed by its innovated R&D team, including 16 major patents filed in the US, China, and Taiwan. To retain leadership in biochip industry in Taiwan and to remain competitive to the world's leading biochip companies, the Company is pursuing collaboration with prestigious research institutes and companies globally.

Phalanx Biotech Group (PBG)
Phalanx Biotech Group is the first industrial-scale DNA microarray fabrication foundry serving the array manufacturing needs of the life science community. Phalanx' strong multidisciplinary expertise is evident in the integrated approach to the research, design, and manufacture of commercial quality DNA microarray products. In 1998, the Biomedical Engineering Center (BMEC) of ITRI initiated a biochip project to explore the potential of microarray technology. The multi-disciplinary research team involved members from 5 ITRI laboratories, which ultimately created the spin-off of PBG in early 2003.
