ADT
was cofounded in Hsinchu by Acer and ITIC in 1996, chartered
to be a manufacturer of flat panel display. Its current business
is primarily in the development, manufacturing and marketing
of TFT LCD flat panels. As an affiliate of Acer Group, ADT
takes the advantage of Acers captive consumption base
in video and information lines. The establishment of ADT benchmarks
the take-off of flat panel industry in Taiwan. ADT went public
in 2000, merged with Unipac Optoelectronics in 2001, and became
AU Optronics, the third largest TFT LCD panel manufacturer
worldwide. The Company is also listed on the New York Stock
Exchange (NYSE) in 2002 under the trading symbol of AUO.
EPISTAR
Corp.
EPISTAR
was founded in 1996 as a maker of epi wafers and chips for
high-brightness LED. It has developed proprietary Metal Organic
Vapor Phase Epitaxy technologies that are the key to the manufacturing
of high performance AlInGaP, AlGaAs and GaInN epi wafers.
EPISTAR went public in 2001. Today, the Company is one of
the major LED manufacturers in Taiwan.
Allied Material Technology, Corp.
AMTC is one of the largest providers of color filter in Taiwan for the TFT-LCD industry.
AMTC's customers include top tier names such as AU Optronics, Chi-Mei, Hannstar, CPT, etc.
AMTC was founded in May of 2000 with the combination of ITRI's engineering talent and TFT-LCD industry elites.
AMTC went public in March of 2004, and is currently trading on the GTSM (OTC) under the ticker symbol 8017.
